Comprehensive PTSD Evaluations in Oregon, WI

Maybe your body flinches before your mind catches up, a sound or a smell throwing you back into a moment you would rather leave behind. Maybe rest feels out of reach and your guard never fully drops. PTSD Evaluations in Oregon, WI help you understand those reactions clearly and kindly, and no referral is needed to begin.

PTSD Evaluations for Adults and Adolescents

Every evaluation opens with a baseline of cognitive and executive function, the ground we build on, before adding trauma focused and emotional measures shaped around what you have lived through. One licensed psychologist carries the whole process, moving at a pace that respects your nervous system, and screens for the concerns that often travel with trauma so nothing is missed.

What Our PTSD Evaluation Includes

PTSD Evaluation Support

A steady, trauma informed evaluation that puts language to what your body and mind have been carrying, separates PTSD from related concerns, and turns what we learn into recommendations you can actually use toward healing.

Who May Benefit From a PTSD Evaluation

in Children, Teens, and Adults

Children

In younger children, trauma can show up as reliving an event through repeated play, fresh nightmares, or a sudden return of clinginess and fear. You may notice broken sleep, more irritability than usual, trouble settling to focus, and a determined effort to avoid anything that stirs the memory.

Teens

For teens, watch for intrusive memories that arrive uninvited, disrupted sleep, and a pull to avoid people or places tied to what happened. Some grow irritable or quick to anger, others go flat and detached, and many startle easily or struggle to hold their attention.

Adults

Adults often describe flashbacks or memories that intrude without warning, nightmares, and a habit of steering around reminders. Hypervigilance keeps the body braced, sleep suffers, emotions can feel numb or far away, and a sense of being permanently on edge can settle into daily life.

Why choose us

Why Choose Core Spring Diagnostics for PTSD Evaluations

At Core Spring Diagnostics, one psychologist stays with you from that first conversation through the feedback session, so trust has room to grow. The evaluation is trauma informed and built around you, with no rigid session counts and no assembly line. You set the pace, and we follow it.

Our Evaluation Process

Step 1: Initial Consultation and History Review

Your evaluation starts with about an hour of unhurried conversation, where your psychologist learns your history and the shape of what you have been through in a safe, supportive space. What surfaces here guides which trauma specific assessments fit, and you set the pace throughout.

Step 2: Personalized Testing Battery

Your psychologist assembles a battery of trauma focused assessments chosen for you, typically 2 to 6 hours of in person testing across one to two days. You take home self report questionnaires, and someone close to you may complete their own if you wish. Signs of anxiety, depression, or ADHD are screened as they appear, since trauma so often travels with company.

Step 3: Comprehensive Report

Every score, observation, and questionnaire is drawn together into a detailed diagnostic report. Your psychologist maps how trauma has touched your thinking, your emotions, and your daily functioning, and documents any co occurring conditions fully so nothing slips past unnoticed.

Step 4: Feedback and Personalized Recommendations

Roughly two to three weeks later you return for a feedback session. Your psychologist walks you through the findings and lays out individualized recommendations: evidence based trauma therapies such as EMDR or CPT, coping strategies, guidance on medication where relevant, and next steps built around your recovery.
