The thoughts show up uninvited, and the rituals promise a relief that never quite lasts. Maybe your child has to redo things until they feel just right, washes until their hands are raw, or needs constant reassurance. Maybe you are the adult who has spent years caught in loops of checking, counting, or intrusive thoughts you would never act on but cannot shake. Whatever brought you here, you want real answers, not judgment. An OCD evaluation with Core Spring Diagnostics is an in depth, individualized assessment that finally makes sense of what is happening and what helps. You can reach out directly, with no referral needed.

What is OCD Evaluation?

An OCD evaluation with Core Spring Diagnostics is an in depth, individualized assessment that finally makes sense of what is happening and what helps. You can reach out directly, with no referral needed.
Every evaluation starts with a baseline of cognitive and executive function, then is built around the specific obsessions and compulsions you bring in, with one licensed psychologist handling the entire process from the first conversation through the feedback session. We use structured, OCD specific measures and screen for the conditions that so often accompany OCD, including anxiety, depression, tics, and ADHD.

Why Choose Core Springs for OCD Evaluations?

One psychologist stays with you from the first conversation through the feedback session, so the person who comes to understand what you are experiencing is the same person who explains what it means and what helps. The pace is individualized, with no rigid session counts and no fixed timelines. We look at strengths as closely as challenges, and we focus on recommendations you can actually act on.

Focused Expertise in OCD Diagnostics

We specialize in OCD evaluations across all ages, using gold standard tools and a neuroaffirming approach tailored to each individual’s unique profile.

Evaluation Process

Step 1: Initial Consultation and History Review

Your evaluation begins with a one hour clinical interview where your psychologist gathers a detailed history of the obsessions and compulsions, when they started, how they have changed, and how much time and distress they create. This conversation determines which OCD specific measures will give the clearest picture.

Step 2: Multi Session Testing Battery

Your psychologist coordinates a personalized battery that pairs a cognitive and executive function baseline with structured, OCD specific and emotional measures. Testing involves 2 to 6 hours of in person evaluation over one to two days. Questionnaires are also sent to you and, for children and teens, to caregivers and teachers who see the patterns day to day.

Step 3: Comprehensive Report

All testing data and clinical observations are compiled into a detailed report covering the nature and severity of the OCD, the obsessions and compulsions involved, and any co occurring conditions identified during the evaluation, such as anxiety, depression, tics, or ADHD.

Step 4: Feedback and Personalized Recommendations

Approximately two to three weeks after testing, you return for a feedback session. Your psychologist walks through the findings and provides individualized recommendations, including evidence based therapy such as exposure and response prevention, school or workplace supports, and clear next steps tailored to you.
