Evaluation Process
Your evaluation begins with a one hour clinical interview where your psychologist gathers a thorough background, from childhood through your day to day life today. This conversation helps identify the specific patterns, challenges, and history that inform which ADHD specific assessments will be most effective for your situation.
Based on your clinical interview, your psychologist selects a personalized battery of ADHD focused assessments. Testing involves 2 to 6 hours of in person evaluation over one to two days. You will also be sent home with questionnaires, and individuals closely involved in your life (parents, teachers, or partners) can receive their own questionnaires to provide additional perspective on attention, focus, and executive function patterns.
Your psychologist compiles all testing data, clinical observations, and questionnaire results into a detailed diagnostic report. If anything else surfaces during the evaluation (such as anxiety, depression, or other co occurring conditions), those findings are included so nothing gets overlooked.
Approximately two to three weeks after testing, you return for a feedback session. This is where you receive your diagnosis along with individualized recommendations: practical strategies for home, school, or work, resources for therapy or coaching, medication guidance if applicable, and next steps tailored to your specific needs.

Do I need a referral for an ADHD evaluation?
No. You never need a referral to be seen at Core Spring Diagnostics. You can reach out directly, for any reason, and we coordinate with your school or other providers only if you want us to.
How do you tell ADHD apart from other things?
ADHD can be confused with anxiety, learning issues, or just being distracted. That’s why we use multiple tools, interviews, and observations to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
Can adults be evaluated for ADHD?
Yes, absolutely. Many adults discover their ADHD later in life and finally understand long-standing struggles with focus and motivation. We provide adult-specific evaluations.
Why does a thorough evaluation matter for ADHD?
Yes, ADHD often overlaps with or mimics other conditions. That’s why a thorough evaluation is so important, to get to the root of the challenges and provide the right direction.
Does ADHD always look like hyperactivity?
No, especially in girls and adults. Many people with ADHD have more inattentive symptoms than hyperactive ones. Our evaluation captures the full range.
