We start with an hour long conversation in which your psychologist builds out the full picture, from early development and school years through the concerns you are living with now. This is where we clarify what the testing is really for and decide which measures will tell us the most.
Your psychologist assembles a battery chosen for your situation, usually 2 to 6 hours of in person work spread across one to two days. Depending on the questions in play, we may add measures of executive function, processing speed, or memory, and questionnaires go home to fill in the day to day context.
Everything, the scores, the observations, and the questionnaire results, comes together in a detailed report that lays out strengths, processing patterns, and any areas of concern. If ADHD, anxiety, or a learning difference surfaces along the way, that gets documented too.
Typically two to three weeks later you come back for the feedback session, where your psychologist talks you through the results in plain terms and hands you individualized recommendations: accommodations where they fit, strategies that lean on your strengths, and clear next steps.
