Trusted Executive Function Evaluations in Waunakee, WI

Maybe your son can recite everything he is supposed to do and still cannot make himself begin. Maybe you are the capable adult whose to do list quietly outgrows every system you build to manage it. Our Executive Function Evaluations in Waunakee, WI examine why organizing, remembering, and finishing feel so heavy, and getting started with us takes no referral.

Executive Function Evaluations for Students

Each evaluation begins from a baseline of cognitive and executive function and then builds outward toward the specific concern, with a single licensed psychologist steering the whole process. Children, teens, and adults are all welcome here, and since executive function trouble tends to keep company with other conditions, we screen for ADHD, anxiety, and learning differences as a matter of course.

What Our Executive Function Evaluation Includes

Executive Function Evaluation & Support

Together we chart the exact points where planning, attention, working memory, and follow through give way, then convert that map into usable tactics for school, for work, and for the everyday demands at home. What you receive are supports you can put in place this week, not the tired advice to simply focus harder.

Who May Benefit From an Executive Function Evaluation

ACROSS ALL AGES

Children

You might notice a child who manages only the first part of a longer instruction, forgets the finished worksheet is even in the bag, or comes undone the moment a routine shifts. Both beginning a task and closing it out feel enormous, and short assignments swell into marathon sessions.

Teens

For a teen, look for last minute scrambles, deadlines that quietly pass, and a locker, backpack, and set of digital folders in constant disarray. Everyone can see the capability, and yet the results keep landing well short of it, especially when several demands compete at once.

Adults

As an adult you may feel a step behind no matter what: missed appointments, priorities that will not sort themselves, and a trail of projects begun and abandoned. Keeping pace with ordinary responsibilities drains more energy than it should, and that steady effort quietly exhausts you.

Why choose us

Why Choose Core Spring Diagnostics for Executive Function Evaluations

Because a single psychologist stays with you from intake through feedback, the professional who learns your story is also the one who interprets it for you. There are no set session counts and no fixed deadlines; the process moves at the pace your situation asks for. And since we pay as much attention to what works as to what does not, the plan you leave with stands on your real strengths.

Our Evaluation Process

Step 1: Consultation and Background Review

We open with a roughly one hour interview in which your psychologist builds a full background, moving from developmental and academic history into the concerns you are facing today. That conversation sets the purpose of testing and points us toward the measures most likely to be useful.

Step 2: Tailored Testing Battery

Your psychologist then tailors a battery to your needs, generally 2 to 6 hours of in person work across one to two days. Where the question calls for it, we fold in measures of processing speed, memory, or adaptive functioning, and take home questionnaires round out the picture.

Step 3: The Written Report

All of the data, along with clinical observations and questionnaire responses, is woven into a thorough report describing cognitive strengths, executive function patterns, and any concerns that emerged. Should ADHD, anxiety, or a learning difference appear during testing, those findings are recorded too.

Step 4: Feedback and Next Steps

About two to three weeks on, you come back for a feedback session where the results are explained in everyday language. You head home with individualized recommendations, whether that means classroom accommodations, workplace strategies, or approaches that build on what you naturally do well.

FAQs

Got Questions? We’re Here to Answer

No, and you never will. Core Spring Diagnostics welcomes you directly, for whatever reason brings you in, and we coordinate with any other providers only when you would like us to.

The two overlap a great deal. Executive function sits at the core of ADHD, so we examine attention, planning, working memory, and self regulation closely, and we screen for ADHD along with the anxiety and learning differences that can look almost identical.

We assess the everyday skills behind planning, starting, organizing, remembering, and finishing, measured against a baseline of cognitive and executive function, and then link those numbers back to the frustrations you notice in real life.

We do. Alongside children and teens, we regularly see adults, many of whom reach out after years of getting by on improvised systems that finally buckle under a busier season of work or family life.

You take home a report you can actually read and a feedback session packed with practical, individualized guidance: routines, tools, accommodations where they help, and defined next steps.

Reach our Madison office at (608) 396 4830 and we will get you scheduled. Since no referral stands in the way, you are free to call whenever the timing feels right.
