Personality Disorder Kenosha

One licensed psychologist guides the entire process, using a thorough clinical interview and personality measures on a baseline of cognitive and executive function. We screen carefully for co-occurring conditions, because emotional and relational patterns rarely have a single explanation.

What Our Personality Evaluation Includes

Personality Evaluation Support

A careful, compassionate evaluation that makes sense of long standing emotional and relational patterns, then turns that understanding into clear, individualized recommendations and next steps, including the kind of therapy most likely to help.

How Autism May Present

Across All Ages

Children

In younger children, the focus is on emotional and relational patterns rather than a personality disorder diagnosis, which is generally reserved for adulthood. We look at intense emotions, difficulty with relationships and transitions, and patterns worth understanding early, always framed as support rather than a fixed label.

Teens

Older teens may show intense and unstable emotions, a shaky sense of self, stormy relationships, impulsivity, or persistent difficulty regulating distress. Evaluation focuses on understanding these patterns and what genuinely helps, with diagnosis approached cautiously at this age.

Adults

Recurring conflict in relationships, an unstable self image, intense emotional swings, deep fear of abandonment, impulsivity, or a sense that the same difficulties keep returning no matter the setting. Many adults seek answers after years of partial explanations.

Our Evaluation Process

Mental Wellness and Growth
Step 1: Initial Consultation and History Review

Your evaluation begins with a one-hour clinical interview where your psychologist gathers a thorough history of your emotional experiences, from childhood through your current daily life. This conversation helps identify anxiety patterns, triggers, and how symptoms are affecting your functioning, so the right assessments can be selected.

Mental Wellness and Growth
Step 2: Multi-Session Testing Battery

Based on your clinical interview, your psychologist selects a personalized battery of anxiety and emotional functioning assessments. Testing involves 2 to 6 hours of in-person evaluation over one to two days. You will also be sent home with self-report questionnaires, and someone close to you can complete their own questionnaire if they choose. If your psychologist identifies signs of other conditions during the process (such as ADHD, depression, or trauma-related concerns), those areas are screened for as well.

Mental Wellness and Growth
Step 3: Comprehensive Report

All testing data, clinical observations, and questionnaire results are compiled into a detailed diagnostic report. Any co-occurring conditions identified during the evaluation are fully documented so you leave with a clear, complete understanding of what is driving your symptoms.

Mental Wellness and Growth
Step 4: Feedback & Personalized Recommendations

Approximately two to three weeks after testing, you return for a feedback session. Your psychologist walks through the diagnosis and provides individualized recommendations: coping strategies for home and work, therapy options (such as CBT or other evidence-based approaches), medication guidance if applicable, and next steps tailored to your situation.
