What Our Personality Disorder Evaluation Includes

Personality Disorder Evaluation Support

What you gain is a caring, careful understanding of emotional and relational patterns that have lasted a long time, converted into individualized recommendations and next steps, including the therapy most likely to bring change.

Who May Benefit From a Personality Disorder Evaluation

Across All Ages

Children

For younger children, we keep the focus on emotional and relational patterns instead of a diagnosis, which is reserved for adulthood. We watch for intense emotions, difficulty with relationships and transitions, and reactions that are tough to soothe, always framing them as early support rather than a lasting label.

Teens

Older teens may experience emotions that flare and fade quickly, a wavering sense of identity, relationships that grow turbulent, or impulsivity when distress mounts. We aim to understand the roots of these patterns and what helps them settle, and we treat diagnosis carefully at this point in life.

Adults

For adults, it can mean conflict that recurs across relationships, a self image that stays unsettled, sweeping emotional swings, a deep dread of abandonment, or impulsive decisions that return again and again. Many finally look for answers once years of partial explanations wear thin.

Why choose us

Why Choose Core Spring Diagnostics for Personality Disorder Evaluations

The same psychologist stays with you from your first conversation through feedback, allowing the relationship to support honest and careful work. Nothing is bound to a rigid session count, the pace adapts to what you need, and we bring depth and compassion to the whole picture so you move forward with real direction.

Our Evaluation Process

Step 1: Interview and History

The assessment begins with a one hour clinical interview in which your psychologist collects a full history of your emotional experiences, from your early years to your life today. This brings the patterns, their triggers, and their effect on your functioning into view, which directs the assessments to come.

Step 2: Personalized Battery

Guided by the interview, your psychologist puts together a personalized battery focused on emotional and relational functioning, generally 2 to 6 hours in person over one to two days. Self report questionnaires go home with you, and someone close to you may complete their own if they wish. When signs of ADHD, depression, or trauma appear, those areas are screened as well.

Step 3: Detailed Report

All of it, test data, clinical observations, and questionnaire results, is brought together in one detailed report. Any conditions found alongside your main concern are documented in full, so you leave with a clear and complete understanding of what is driving the patterns.

Step 4: Feedback Session

Roughly two to three weeks after testing, you return for a feedback session. Your psychologist walks you through the results and provides individualized recommendations, from coping strategies for home and work to evidence based therapy options and the next steps suited to you.
