Anxiety rarely travels alone, which is why a quick label so often misses the point. Core Spring's Cedarburg evaluations look at the worry and everything tangled up with it, for children, teens, and adults. You can reach out directly, no referral needed.
We look at the worry, panic, racing thoughts, and avoidance, then at how they tangle with attention, mood, sleep, and daily functioning across school, work, and home. Because anxiety rarely acts alone, screening for the overlap is standard. Every assessment starts with a cognitive and executive function baseline before layering in anxiety-specific measures, and one psychologist owns the process from interview to feedback session.
A child might carry big worries and fears, get frequent stomachaches, struggle with sleep, avoid school, or have a hard time separating from caregivers.
A teen might deal with social anxiety, panic attacks, perfectionism, sensory overload, or thoughts that simply will not slow down.
An adult might be stuck in chronic worry, hit by panic episodes, kept up at night, or quietly worn down by anxiety at work and at home.
Your evaluation begins with a one-hour clinical interview where your psychologist gathers a thorough history of your emotional experiences, from childhood through your current daily life. This conversation helps identify anxiety patterns, triggers, and how symptoms are affecting your functioning, so the right assessments can be selected.
Based on your clinical interview, your psychologist selects a personalized battery of anxiety and emotional functioning assessments. Testing involves 2 to 6 hours of in-person evaluation over one to two days. You will also be sent home with self-report questionnaires, and someone close to you can complete their own questionnaire if they choose. If your psychologist identifies signs of other conditions during the process (such as ADHD, depression, or trauma-related concerns), those areas are screened for as well.
All testing data, clinical observations, and questionnaire results are compiled into a detailed diagnostic report. Any co-occurring conditions identified during the evaluation are fully documented so you leave with a clear, complete understanding of what is driving your symptoms.
Approximately two to three weeks after testing, you return for a feedback session. Your psychologist walks through the diagnosis and provides individualized recommendations: coping strategies for home and work, therapy options (such as CBT or other evidence-based approaches), medication guidance if applicable, and next steps tailored to your situation.
Anxiety can slow processing speed, reduce working memory capacity, and interfere with sustained attention. The cognitive and executive function baseline at Core Spring Diagnostics captures these effects, helping the psychologist separate anxiety-related performance issues from cognitive or attention deficits.
Anxiety frequently co-occurs with ADHD, depression, learning differences, trauma responses, and sometimes autism. Core Spring Diagnostics screens for all of these during every anxiety evaluation to ensure recommendations address the full clinical picture.
Yes. Social anxiety involves intense fear or discomfort in social situations, often driven by fear of judgment or embarrassment. The report covers diagnostic conclusions, cognitive and executive function results, anxiety-specific findings, comorbidity screening outcomes, and individualized recommendations. It is written to be shared directly with therapists, schools, and other providers, with enough detail to guide treatment planning and accommodation requests.
Yes. The evaluation provides a clinical baseline, diagnostic clarity, and specific recommendations that can refine or redirect the current therapy plan. Therapists can use the report to set more targeted goals, adjust their approach, or identify co-occurring conditions that may be affecting progress.
