Maybe you have tried the charts, the timers, and every organizing app there is, and your child still cannot get started. Maybe you are the adult who has run out of workarounds. An ADHD Evaluation in Cross Plains, WI is here to explain why the effort keeps falling short. No referral is required to reach out.
Everything opens with a baseline of cognitive and executive function, the foundation beneath focus, organization, and impulse control, and grows from there into measures made specifically for ADHD. One licensed psychologist stays with you across the whole evaluation, and we intentionally look for the anxiety, mood, and learning differences that can shadow ADHD or pass for it.
For children, the signs may be attention that slips away mid activity, homework that becomes a nightly ordeal, and a weekly hunt for lost jackets and worksheets. They rarely sit still, they interrupt with whatever pops into mind, and a two step request can fall apart quickly.
In teens it often surfaces as stalled starts, deadlines that quietly pass, and belongings and assignments in constant disorder. Capable students hand in sloppy work, time gets away from them, and frustration can erupt out of proportion to the cause.
For adults, expect a restlessness that will not quiet, a tendency to act only once something turns urgent, and a long record of lateness and dropped commitments. After years of overcompensating, many are worn down by working harder than their peers simply to stay level.
We begin with about an hour of conversation, where your psychologist gathers a full background running from early childhood to the realities of your current days. What that history reveals guides which ADHD focused assessments will do the most good in your plan.
Working from the interview, your psychologist designs a battery built around you, commonly 2 to 6 hours of in person testing over one to two days. Questionnaires come home with you, and those who know your daily life well, parents, teachers, or a partner, can complete their own to broaden the read on attention and follow through.
Testing data, in session observations, and the completed rating scales are consolidated into one thorough diagnostic report. If anything further emerges during the evaluation, an anxiety pattern or signs of depression among them, it is recorded too, so nothing is overlooked.
Roughly two to three weeks afterward, you return for the feedback session. The diagnosis is explained plainly and matched with recommendations built for your circumstances: hands on strategies for home, school, or work, guidance toward therapy or coaching, medication direction where fitting, and a clear step forward.
No. A referral is never a prerequisite at Core Spring Diagnostics. You are free to contact us yourself, for whatever reason brought the question up.
It is not. A full evaluation brings together a clinical interview, a cognitive and executive function baseline, ADHD specific measures, rating scales, and screening for conditions that mimic ADHD, so you come away with a clear picture rather than a single verdict.
Yes. We see children, teens, and adults, and many adults come to us only after the systems they relied on for years stop keeping up with what is asked of them.
We check for anxiety, depression, learning differences, and executive function difficulties, because these frequently accompany or resemble ADHD and change what actually makes a difference.
A report written in plain language and a feedback session that turns the findings into individualized recommendations, from accommodations at school or work to practical daily strategies.
